The Canadian Shield’s primary resources are farming, mining and forestry. Even though the Canadian Shield has plentiful primary resources, it has very few secondary resources.

- Furs - From our fur bearing animals(hunting and trapping is still a large resource.
- Minerals - we extract copper, gold, nickel, zinc, lead, and diamonds thought mining.
Great mining places are Sudbury, Ontario and Thompson, Manitoba and Yellowknife, Northwest Territories - Forestry
